Knowing the family well, and having worked for my friend before, made this particular project a real challenge as I wanted to go beyond the call of duty to impress and to Wow!! which is what I believe we have done.
Starting with a very boring and somewhat confusing flat, I ignored everything that was now and created on paper what was to become the new.
Open plan eating living space with access to the large external terrace was a must. Discovering some of the original fabric of the warehouse that it once was, was fun to expose and show off.
GLAMOUR & STYLE
Creating the perfect Master his and hers bedroom suite with the his and hers shower was a lot of fun, finishing the bespoke bedroom storage in dreamy silver velvet crush, matching the headboard with real glamour and style...
The Master shower room was totally made as a one-off creation with space for used hand towels, dual shower operation all finished in incredible crosscut semi-precious wall tiles….
The guest suite, spacious and perfectly appointed for any guests that may have been invited to stay over, totally self contained with a beautiful bathroom adjoining….
CONTEMPORARY ATMOSPHERE
The bedrooms are all finished in silk and wool mix, full pile carpet whereas in contradiction to that the rest of the apartment is finished in an industrial style large concrete floor tile which really adds that timeless and contemporary atmosphere...
The lighting in this apartment is strategic in places - concealed cornice and pelmet lighting, with overall lighting installed for the various areas that have been created within the overall space…
LONDON HERITAGE DESIGNED FURNITURE
Bespoke furniture has been designed and created by LHD and installed, creating an overall feeling of warmth and almost a rustic quality…
The use of reclaimed vintage metro wall tiles installed using symmetry as my guide gave a nod to the original warehouse that was once this building...
My Friends' and clients really placed their trust in LHD and on this occasion they came up trumps in aces...
