DRAYTON GARDENS

Client: Private individual

At first glance, this seemed like a very straightforward renovation. The clients approached London Heritage Design to help them with re-designing and updating their very spacious Chelsea apartment. This was to include re-planning and re-defining the flow and general usability of the apartment. Together we discussed the ideas and changes over a period of months before LHD was awarded the project. The changes included moving walls, doorways, providing storage space, completely re-designing, supplying and installing the kitchen and bathroom, re-designing and installing a new lighting system, moving the boiler and electrical mains, installing new maple flooring throughout and totally re-decorating all areas.

What a great project, we thought! Then the bombshell... "You have six weeks in which to complete the works."

Our clients had a very specific timeframe for the works that coincided with various holidays and visiting family members, and there was no negotiating this point. It was very clear that we had to be finished in time.

LHD started the works on July 14th and with careful planning completed the works August 23rd, five weeks and three days later – encountering a number of extra structural issues along the way.

LHD were only able to execute this very difficult and tight program due to three facts: the client agreed every minute detail with no changes; we ordered every item for early delivery; and LHD have all the relevant tradesmen working directly IN-HOUSE – and that is the most important point.

We are able to call on whatever discipline or trade we need at a moment's notice. At this point in time, LHD employ 21 tradesmen, all experts in their field, giving a high quality of service to all our valued clients.

Needless to say, our Drayton Gardens clients were simply delighted and blown away with the results at their brand new apartment.
